My New Substack & Podcast: The Mom Wars

Hello friends,

It’s been a while since I’ve written here. Not because I have nothing to write about, but because this space feels more personal (think “Dear Diary”) instead of a place to post my work.

I’ve been wanting to expand my parenting writing and create a dedicated home for it for about a year. Since I went on Honestly with Bari Weiss and Nellie Bowles and talked about parenting for all of fifteen minutes, my inbox was filled with people asking me to write more and podcast about it. I am a freelance writer for the New York Post, Washington Examiner, etc, but I have really started to feel like I needed an informal outlet to post 400-600 words without having to stress about pitching, editing, etc.

I’ve also been wanting for some time to start podcasting again (longtime readers will remember Ladybrains and That Sethany Show).

I was saying this to Kara Kennedy Clairmont at the Free Press inauguration party (weird how all roads seem to intersect with Bari and Nellie lol) and despite the volume of the party (we could barely hear each other), we decided to start a thing.

We started The Mom Wars Substack a few weeks ago, and we’re already building a nice little community. Our first official podcast went up yesterday, and all of our podcast feeds are established (you can listen to us and subscribe on Apple, Spotify and Spreaker).
