Hello from my new personal Substack! If you’re getting an email from me, it’s because at some point, you signed up to get emails from me. I don’t think I’ve used that email list in three or four years, but I hope to be better about being in touch with what I’ve written, and what I’m doing.
I really should have emailed the list to announce my book, which was released on March 7th, and hit best-seller lists. I co-authored it with a dear friend, Karol Markowicz, and is about the woke assault on childhood.
After the success of my book, I launched a Substack with another homeschooling mother, Rachel Reeves, focusing on education and resources for conservative parents and grandparents looking to find help in this current climate.
We've been active on Instagram for over a year with over 14k followers there, and now on Substack, we’ll be posting subscriber-only content like book lists, podcasts, author discussions, chats, mother’s book clubs, and maybe even in-person events! We hope you’ll join us here as we talk books, education, homeschooling, and how it all intersects with our current political moment.
I have this weird vivid memory of watching C-SPAN as a kid. I thought it made me smarter, I thought I was getting this secret inner view of how the pudding is made. I should have known one day I would go into politics somehow, because who does that?
And now, I can cross off my personal bucket list that I’ve actually been on it! Last month, I gave a speech at the Clare Booth Luce Center for Conservative Women where C-SPAN cameras were filming, and now, the video has been aired and is available online. Given the amount of feedback, it seems there are a lot of other weirdos like me out there.
I’ve done a lot of media for the book - some appearances have gone better than others - but this is one of the best interviews I did if you’re interested in a long-form conversation.
I plan to send emails like this, connected to this Substack account, whenever I have time and material to send out. You’re welcome to throw a paid subscription at me here with absolutely no benefits, except feeding six Mandel kids, but the real paid subscription benefits will be over at RB4K. I’ll basically be treating this Substack as a professional newsletter.
